Prior to joining Texas Behavioral Health Systems, Karah worked as an registered nurse at Green Oaks in the psychiatric ER and as a nurse practitioner at Parkland Hospital in the psychiatric ER.

In her free time she enjoys to garden, visit national parks and spend time with her family. She also enjoys doing medical volunteerism as often as possible.

She then received her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Texas Women's University in 2012. She has multiple years experience in crisis stabilization. Her most recent stop is at Texas Health Resources Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas as a Nursing Supervisor. She earned a Master's of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Science Center in 2023. She also sees patients as a consultation liaison on medical floors and in acute inpatient psychiatry.

Mrs. Metze believes in never passing judgement as we are all doing the best we can with what we have. Treatment begins by building a foundation and building up one deliberate layer at a time.
