Paul M. Hamilton, M.D.
CERTIFIED BY THE AMERICAN BOARD OF PSYCHIATRY AND NEUROLOGY
Dr. Paul Hamilton is board certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. A graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch, he completed a four year residency program in psychiatry in Dallas at Timberlawn Psychiatric Hospital in 1981. He served as Chief Resident at Timberlawn and is a Past-President of that facility’s medical staff as well as that of Green Oaks Hospital.
Karah Brashier, R.N. M.S.N. C-PMHNP
Karah Brashier is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Texas Woman’s University and her Master of Science in Nursing at Gonzaga University.
Prior to joining Texas Behavioral Health Systems, Karah worked as an registered nurse at Green Oaks in the psychiatric ER and as a nurse practitioner at Parkland Hospital in the psychiatric ER.
In her free time she enjoys to garden, visit national parks and spend time with her family. She also enjoys doing medical volunteerism as often as possible.
Dasha Joseph, R.N. M.S.N. C-PMHNP
Dasha Joseph is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Oklahoma Wesleyan University and her Master of Science in Nursing at University of Texas at Arlington.
Prior to joining Texas Behavioral Health Systems, Dasha worked as a registered nurse at Green Oaks Psychiatric ER . She also has experience working as a nurse practitioner. Dasha has extensive experience with addiction medicine.
In her free time she enjoys quilting, scrapbooking, playing video games, traveling and spending time with her husband and daughters.
Sophie Krchmar, R.N. M.S.N. C-PMHNP
Sophie Krchmar is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and a member of the Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society. She received her Bachelor’s of Nursing from Oklahoma City University and her Masters degree in nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington.
Prior to joining Texas Behavioral Health Systems, Sophie worked as a registered nurse in an intensive psychiatric inpatient unit for Ardent Health Systems in Tulsa, Oklahoma. During her clinical training, she gained experience in treating children, adolescents, and adults with mental illnesses.
In Sophie’s free time she enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies, and traveling.
Linda Fortmeier DNP, FNP-BC
Linda Fortmeier is a board certified nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center for over 20 years and a member of Sigma Theta Tau, national nursing honor society. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner education from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Texas, her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of the Incarnate Word, San Antonio, Texas and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
Prior to joining Texas Behavioral Health Systems, Dr. Fortmeier was employed with the University of Texas Health Science Center (UTHSCSA), Department of Psychiatry in San Antonio, Texas as an assistant professor-faculty with a clinical practice. Her experience includes inpatient and outpatient psychiatry as well as primary care. Her prior nurse practitioner populations have included individuals with acute and chronic mental health disorders, IDD and crisis stabilization.
During her employment with UTHSCSA, she received the nurse practitioner of the year award. Dr. Fortmeier has been involved in mental health grant driven research and served on several university wide committees promoting mental health awareness.
Matthew Vickers, R.N. M.S.N. C-PMHNP
Matthew Vickers is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing. He is formally trained in advanced psychiatric nursing practice with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Masters of Science in Nursing from Eastern Kentucky University.
Mr. Vickers is passionate about the sanctity of all individuals and the worth and value in every person. His professional objective is to provide exceptional mental health care to those in need so that they might have full, meaningful, and productive lives. He strives to maintain outstanding professional character through ethical decision making, keen self awareness, and a commitment to lifelong professional development.
In his free time, he enjoys traveling, reading, gaming, and embarking on culinary excursions. His interests include carpentry, philosophy, meteorology, fluid mechanics, and horticulture.
