Texas Behavioral Health Systems, located near the junction of HWY 121 and Preston Road, provides outpatient psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, consultation, medication management, and brief focused therapy services to adults, couples, adolescents and children.

We emphasize accessibility without lengthy waiting times for appointments. Our excellent mental health providers, with the help of our proficient office staff, emphasize access to care without lengthy wait times. Philosophically, we truly emphasize a bio-psycho-social model. That is to say that all factors are considered when evaluating patients; their genetics, their psychological orientation, their family system, and their current social and vocational situation.

In her free time she enjoys to garden, visit national parks and spend time with her family. She also enjoys doing medical volunteerism as often as possible.

Jennifer Metze is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor's of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Texas Tech University in 2007. She then received her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Texas Women's University in 2012. She has multiple years experience in crisis stabilization. Her most recent stop is at Texas Health Resources Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas as a Nursing Supervisor. She earned a Master's of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Science Center in 2023. She also sees patients as a consultation liaison on medical floors and in acute inpatient psychiatry. Mrs. Metze believes in never passing judgement as we are all doing the best we can with what we have. Treatment begins by building a foundation and building up one deliberate layer at a time. She enjoys her 4 kids, 2 cats, husband, and rottweiler puppy. She loves reading fantasy novels, hanging out with her kids, and napping every chance she gets.
